Martin Ferreyra

Nació en la Ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina. Psicólogo de formación, y principalmente autodidacta en lo que respecta a las artes. En los últimos años a participado en festivales, exposiciones y residencias en Amsterdam, España, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, México, Canadá y USA. Su trabajo se reparte entre la pintura y la cerámica, creando la línea de cerámicas personal; y elaborando un mundo propio dentro de su imaginario visual. Medio por el cual investigar conceptos en torno a la identidad, el rito, y el mito. Latentes en el inconsciente colectivo de nuestra cultura. Actualmente reside en la Ciudad de Oaxaca, creando La Cochera, un espacio de exposición de propio y de artistas locales, anclado en el centro histórico de Oaxaca.

Martin Ferreyra

He was born in the City of Córdoba, Argentina. A psychologist by training, and mainly self-taught when it comes to the arts.

In recent years he has participated in festivals, exhibitions and residences in Amsterdam, Spain, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Mexico, Canada and the USA.

In his work he explores various techniques and materials such as ceramics, paint, textile, video, and performance. Creating a world of his own within his visual imagination where he investigates concepts around identity, ritual, and myth. Latent in the collective unconscious of our culture.

He currently resides in Etla, Oaxaca, building La Milpa. His personal workshop dedicated to exploring new materials and traditional techniques working in the present without overlooking the cultural baggage of the past.

His most recent project is La Cochera, an exhibition space for himself and local multidisciplinary artists. Anchored in the historic center of Oaxaca, with the purpose of being a platform for the artistic expression and diversity of disciplines.
